Something I thought I would never do...

Okay, So something I am continually learning every day is that God is full of surprises. I think he likes to keep us on our toes. He likes it that way.

On our ride here from the airport on the day of arriving here in La Paz, Randy and Jon told us they had a surprise for us, they had entered us into a Tournament for a fundraiser. What type of tournament was it you might ask, well it was dodgeball. Yep, that's right just like the movie. Well, when they said dodgeball- the first thing that popped in my head was oh great- a bunch of balls flying at me how fun is that going to be, well it turns out quite a bit!

We had the tournament on Saturday. And it was really fun. I truly enjoyed it. God surprised me again. Randy led our team with great creativitiy. We definitaly stood out as the team with the most team spirit. Our name "The Mechanics" Our Game "Reaching kids for Jesus" and kicking butt at dodgeball. We were complete with uniforms, plays, warm ups and theme song and cheers. It is keeping with a rule of our house, if you are going to do something funny and you do it seriously it is even funnier! Yes, I now own a mechanics outfit! The best part of the outfit is that it is a onesie (I am not sure if I spelled that right!) And when you lift your arms up, your pants go up about two inches- it is like highwaters! They are awesome. (Check out my website for a picture of us!)

We lost our first game, and we did get reamed for it. But we came back with a vengence. And made it to the finals. The finals was a three game stretch. We lost the first game. But we came back strong and won the next two games- winning the entire tournament. We have some really cool shirts to show for it too.

My team was great. Ali was a great dodger and catcher. Ross was quick with his throwing and David just kept pelting our opponents. And Randy and Jon were great in coaching us in our plays and attacking with full force. It was great.

God definitely surprised me with this one. I can't' believe that the first tournament that a team that I was on won was dodgeball. What a sense of humor He has.
